In our fourth major release for 2023, WorkBuddy's latest update brings a Sales Order Module for efficient order tracking. Activities and Tasks modules feature enhanced UX with tagging and customizable options. A revamped Sharing Policies framework provides precise control of data sharing, complemented by refreshed client and contractor portals. Minor improvements refine platform usability, while bug fixes ensure a seamless user experience.

The release will be gradually rolled out across your tenancies starting from the evening of Thursday 16th November.

Sales Order Module

Introducing a new module that enables users to input customer sales orders against jobs and stages. These sales orders can be optionally converted into invoices, providing a valuable tool for tracking customer requests, especially for long-term projects.

Activities UX Refresh

The Activities user experience has undergone a facelift. Now, you can tag activities, making it easier to access attachments through the File module in a structured manner. We've also enhanced image previews, dedicating more screen space when there are only one or two images associated with an activity.

Tasks UX Refresh

We've rebuilt the Tasks user experience from the ground up. With a fresh new look, tasks can now be tagged, allowing any evidence submitted against a task to be surfaced in the File module. You also have the flexibility to customize how tasks are grouped and filtered, with a range of new options such as grouping by assignee or tags, among others.

Sharing Policies

Our sharing framework has received a major update, providing you with powerful rules to precisely control what is shared (or not) with your customers and field workers. When combined with the changes made to activities and tasks regarding tags, users can now focus on classifying the data they provide, while the system handles the sharing of attachments automatically.

Portal UX Refresh

Both the client and contractor portals have undergone a substantial overhaul in their look and feel. This is part of our ongoing effort to gradually refresh the entire product's appearance with our new design system.

Other Improvements

We've also focused on implementing a range of minor improvements to enhance user experience and streamline functionality. These subtle yet impactful changes aim to refine the overall performance and usability of the platform. From optimizing interface elements, fine-tuning backend processes and improving our database query performance, our team has worked diligently to ensure that WorkBuddy continues to provide a seamless and efficient workflow for our users. These refinements may not be as headline-grabbing as the major features, but they play a crucial role in ensuring that WorkBuddy remains a reliable and user-friendly solution for all our valued customers.

Fixes

Our team has been hard at work ensuring that WorkBuddy runs as smoothly as possible. While we won't go into exhaustive detail, we've taken care of a number of minor bugs across the platform.
